What are my customization options and how much do they cost?
FanBaby wants your birth announcement to be unique, and our process will ensure that everything is perfect. Our announcements are designed to be either 4 x 6, 5 x 7, or 5.5 x 8.5, and the price is the same regardless of the size. Also, you can customize any text or picture on one of our unique announcement templates. If you have an idea for an announcement that is not already on our site just contact us and we’ll do our best to design what you have in mind. No matter what customizations you select, you will have the opportunity to review a digital proof prior to your order being printed.
Can I have a copyrighted image on my cards?
Most copyrighted images, such as logos, cartoon characters, and other famous images, cannot be used without permission from the owner. However, FanBaby might be able to help you obtain permission so contact us with the image in question and we’ll do our best. Alternatively, if you have taken a picture of a person or item that has the copyrighted image (e.g. your baby has a shirt with a team logo on it), you can use the photo on the announcement. We also have the ability to customize your announcement with the appropriate team colors if you so desire.
What is the FanBaby order process?
To order from FanBaby, simply follow these steps:
- Select the announcement that you like best.
- Enter the text that you would like to be on the card, including any additions or edits that you desire.
- If you have special requests or instructions, please indicate those on the appropriate form.
- Once you’ve submitted your customized information for the text of the card, please upload the photo(s) that you want on the card, including any specific instructions about that photo.
- FanBaby will send you a digital proof within 1-2 business days via email. Please review that proof for any photo or text edits that are necessary, and reply to FanBaby with those requests. If you have no edits, please reply with your approval so that we may print your order.
- Smile when you receive your order and it is shipped to your friends and family.
- Please let us know how you liked your order by filling out a FanBaby review form.
- Tell your friends and family about FanBaby and receive discounts on future orders.
Is there a minimum order size? Maximum?
Most of our products have a minimum quantity of 25 and are sold in increments of 5. Currently there is no maximum order size, though orders over 500 may take longer to ship.
Photo submission guidelines
To ensure that your photos turn out as perfect as possible, please use the following guidelines:
- Please only submit digital photos; at this time we are unable to accept physical photos via mail. The photos must be the original photo, not a link to a photo in an online album or on a website.
- Make sure that your digital camera settings are on the highest resolution possible. This will result in a large file, but please do not resize the photo before sending as that will compromise its quality.
- Please ensure that the photo is in one of the following formats: .JPEG, .GIF, or .PNG.
- Professional photos are only allowed if the Purchaser has the explicit authorization to use those photos in the form of a release from the photographer. All rights and privileges inherent in any photograph uploaded or emailed to FanBaby are presumed to be owned by the person responsible for uploading or emailing the photograph, and the person uploading or emailing the photograph grants a perpetual license to FanBaby to use the image in the creation of a FanBaby product. Any person uploading or emailing a photo to FanBaby hereby indemnifies, releases and holds harmless FanBaby from any and all infringement, copyright or invasion of privacy suit, claim, demand or other legal proceeding associated with any photograph uploaded or emailed to FanBaby.
- Note: FanBaby will not print anything that it deems, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be obscene, offensive or inappropriate.
Do you proofread all orders or touch up photos?
FanBaby Account Enthusiasts do proofread all orders for design issues. Though we frequently catch misspellings and grammatical issues, the responsibility for the text is with the customer. Additionally, our Account Enthusiasts will touch up a photo (e.g. red eye, minor cropping) if technically possible and will submit a digital proof to you prior to printing. No text or photos will be altered without your final approval.
Do you offer proofs?
Yes – we offer one free digital proof with every order. At this time we do not offer a printed proof option. Typically a proof will be sent to you within 1-2 business days of your order. Upon receipt, please approve your proof immediately to expedite shipping and delivery.
Can I make changes to my proof?
Yes – you are allowed one free round of edits with your proof to ensure complete satisfaction. Additional rounds of edits are possible as well, but come with a professional customization fee of $10 for each subsequent round.
Shipping
How long does it take to receive my announcements?
Once your proof has been approved you will receive an estimated processing time and delivery date via email. Processing time usually takes 1-2 business days, with shipping taking approximately 3 business days.
Do you offer rush processing?
Yes – orders can be rushed for an additional fee of $15 and will be processed within 24 hours.
How much does shipping cost?
FanBaby currently offers a promotional flat shipping rate of $5 per order, regardless of size. Take advantage of this limited time offer while it lasts!
How will I know when my order has been shipped and received?
We will send you an email to let you know the order is on its way, including a tracking number if applicable.
Can your staff address my envelopes for me?
Currently this is not available, but it is something that we plan to offer in the future. If you are interested in FanBaby addressing, stuffing, and mailing your announcements directly to your friends and family for a small fee then please let us know.
Can I order “stock” greeting cards?
We realize that sometimes you aren’t sure what message you want to put on your announcement. So, our stock greeting cards offer you a simple and flexible solution that you can customize at your convenience.
How do I apply a promotional code to my order?
Simply enter the code on the specified field when completing your order. You will receive a confirmation email indicating that this code has been applied to your order. Only one promotional code is allowable per order.
What payment methods do you accept?
FanBaby’s shopping cart accepts all major credit cards and Paypal.
What is your return policy?
Since our products are custom designed and printed, we do not offer a full refund unless there is a problem due to a FanBaby error. In the event of a FanBaby error we will offer you a full refund as well as correct the error as quickly as possible.

Are you closed on holidays?
Like any family run business, our priority starts with “family.” As such, there are several days throughout the year when we may be unavailable. If your order is placed on one of these holidays the email confirmation will indicate any potential processing or shipping delays.
