Are you having trouble deciding which adorable picture(s) to use for your announcement? We know, we know, it’s hard. All of us at FanBaby have gone through this exact same thing in recent years. So here are our words of wisdom for picking the perfect picture for your FanBaby announcement.

1) Know your audience. Chances are, you’re just sending out one announcement. So picking one that only your husband’s frat buddies will find hilarious may be lost on Aunt Colleen. This thing is going to go to everyone that your parents can think of, so keep that in mind. Ultimately, the goal is to get as many “awwwwww”s as possible.

2) You can’t go wrong with a style that has just one image versus a style that has multiple images. We love them both. But when you do go multiple images, get one of the little guy’s feet. People love that.

3) Focus on the baby, not you. Yeah, that picture of you next to the baby in your matching mock-turtlenecks will be shown at every major event in the little guy’s life, but your friends don’t want to look at your picture on their fridge for months. The mark of a great baby announcement is its staying power.

As always, we’d love to hear from you – you can always reach us at info@fanbaby.com

Since we’ve launched FanBaby, we’ve received several inquiries asking us how we chose TCU, SMU, A&M and Tech, and when are we doing to add more schools?

Well, the answer to the first question largely results from our presence in Dallas, Texas. While we would certainly like to reach out to all TCU, SMU, A&M and Tech alumni, we felt that the abundance of alumni for these schools in DFW and other nearby cities would provide us with a great base for our initial marketing efforts. We’re brainstorming cool and effective ways to make sure that every new parent knows they can announce their precious little package to the world, adorned in school colors. If you have any ideas for us, feel free to contact us here, or send us an email to info@fanbaby.com.

As far as adding additional schools, we’re working on it, so check back soon!

Yes, it’s true, we’ve been around for almost a year already, but we just wrapped up our new website and today is our official launch. Official launch! We were scheduled to launch on November 1, but…sometimes things come early. What are you gonna do?

FanBaby.com was built by a team of parents who are passionate about sports. As we “matured” (and I use that term loosely) into parents, we realized that there was no reason why we shouldn’t share our enthusiasm for our favorite teams with our kids from day one. So we set out to design the coolest baby announcements in the land. Thus far we’ve wrapped up licensing rights for four tremendous schools – Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU and SMU – and more are on the way.

Whether you’ve visited us before, or this is your first time, we encourage everyone to click around and see how easy the new site is to use, and how fun our announcements are. We would love any feedback that you have regarding anything and everything – you can contact us here, or send us an email to info@fanbaby.com. Also, please click on our Facebook and Twitter links in the upper right so you can tell your friends about us.

Please come back soon!
